As for this card, I used the NEW Dad's cooking stamp set. I watercolored it with some Daniel Smith Watercolors and adorned it with a few sentiment strips. "Now you're cooking!" is from the same Dad's Cooking stamp set from the Three C's release.

I added a piece of patterned paper in a wonky fashion, mostly because I stamped my image on an odd size piece of paper. No worries, I think it looks cool in spite of my error. Keep scrolling for an added list of supplies for this card.

I hope I was able to inspire you to create today. Make sure to check out all of the featured designers and enter into the giveaway.

The One with the Chocolate Bunny Shaker Card

Hello everyone. Today I have two more cards to share with you using the NEW Gina K Designs February Release. I used the NEW Some Bunny stamp set to create these two cards. I will link the products used on these cards below.

To check out the entire release from Gina K (CLICK HERE!)

To create this shaker card I started with a piece of heavy weight white cardstock cut to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4. I used the side profile bunny silhouette from the NEW Some Bunny stamp set from Gina K Designs' February Release. I grabbed the die from the coordinating die set and aligned it on the top part of the panel as if it were to be in a portrait orientation, leaving plenty of room below to stamp my sentiment.

I wanted to stamp my sentiment on this panel before moving forward with creating the shaker card. I always have a bad habit of waiting to to the sentiment last, which makes for awkward stamping on a completed shaker panel. I stamped the "happy easter" sentiment with Gina K Amalgam ink in Obsidian and heat embossed it using Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder.

I grabbed another piece of the same heavy weight white cardstock cut to the same size as before. I placed the die-cut panel above it, just to make a few pencil marks in order to ink blend some brown on the panel below where it will show through the top panel of the shaker card.

On the background panel I ink-blended some Chocolate Brown ink also by Gina K Designs. I concentrated it into the area that would show through the top panel. Once that was looking good I added a bit of Nuvo Vintage Drops in Saddle Brown which in my opinion makes perfect caramel. I drizzled it just like a chocolate candy.

Once that was completely dry, I added a piece of acetate to seal my shaker window shut. I also added two layers of foam tape to pop up my top panel leaving plenty of room for my shaker bits.

For shaker bits, I used Wilton sugar crystals from the cake decorating isle. I wanted it to look like a salted caramel chocolate candy. I think it looks pretty yummy myself.

The entire panel was added to an A2 size Simon Says Stamp Fog card base scored in a top folding portrait orientation.

For the second card today, I am using the same materials only this card is not a shaker card. I used the back/front profile bunny from the same Some Bunny stamp set. I cut it using the same heavy weight cardstock. This time I wanted to make a Peep inspired bunny. I ink blended a little color using Gina K's Lovely Lavender ink and covered it with White glitter paste for my sugar.
Once it was dry I popped it up on my card panel using foam tape.

I hope I've inspired you to create something today.

The One with the Gina K Designs February Card Video and Extra Project

Hello everyone. Today I have some fun card projects using NEW products from the Gina K Designs February Release. I used the NEW Somebunny stamp set and coordinating dies to create both of these card projects in this post but a full list of products used can be found linked below.

I have a video over on my YouTube channel making this card. To see some extra slimline cards using this same stamp set, just keep scrolling down.

To see the entire Gina K Designs NEW February Release (CLICK HERE!) to shop!

I used the same inks and supplies on both of these cards. I started with a piece of cardstock cut to 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 which is my preferred slimline measurement. I aligned the silhouette of the bunny with the Front/back position and cut him in two rows of three. I didn't measure this. I just lined it up to the best of my ability. I was not at all worried about it being perfect.

I used the negative card panel I created cutting the bunnies to create the first panel popping it up onto an ink blended panel cut to the same size. I popped it up using thin strips of foam tape.

The positive pieces were ink blended on and popped up onto a separate panel using the same design style and foam tape. Only the panel I added the bunnies too was cut down by a quarter of an inch.

I added the sentiments by heat embossing in a contrasting arrangement using both clear and white embossing powder. The panel were then added with foam tape.

To finish off the card I added little white Pom Poms to each of the bunnies' bums unless the sentiment was prohibiting me from doing so. I used a dollop of liquid glue to attach them.

I hope that you have enjoyed my projects today. I hope I've inspired you to create something today.

The One with the Mice Day to Celebrate Card Project

Hello everyone. Today I have a fun card to share with you using the NEW Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is from the NEW My Favorite Things February release. The supplies used to create this card will be linked below.

To check out the entire NEW MFT Stamps February Release (CLICK HERE!). At MFTStamps.com you can find the NEW release as well as classic staples that a card maker needs in their craft room.

Background:

I started with a piece of Ranger watercolor cardstock. I cut it down to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4. I used a piece of low tack masking tape to mask off the bottom portion of my panel while I ink blended a bit of light in the background. I used Distress Ink in Wild Honey. I then moved my masking tape to mask off the portion of the panel I just blended so that I could create a floor or a table, something for my critters to stand on. I used Distress Ink in both Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers to match the color scheme of the party that I was creating on my card. After I ink blended both the top and bottom portions of my card, I then splattered it with the same three Distress ink colors to create a fun confetti feel to my scene.

Focal images:

I stamped all of my images from the Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set using MFT Extreme Black ink onto Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker friendly paper. I used my alcohol markers to color my images. I have created a kolour map to show all of the markers I used on this piece. I cut out the images using their coordinating die set of the same name.

Sentiment:

I stamped the sentiment "it's a mice day to celebrate" in two sections. I first masked off the "to celebrate" and only inked the "it's a mice day" using Gina K watermark ink and stamped it onto MFT Blu Raspberry cardstock and heat embossed it using Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder. I did the same thing only this time I masked the first part of the sentiment "it's a mice day" and only stamped and embossed the "to celebrate" using the same process but I switched out the blue cardstock for MFT's Razzelberry. I cut them both into strips using my Fiskars paper trimmer.

Assembly:

The assembly of this card is simple. I used various depths of adhesive to add dimension to my scene. I adhered the crates flat to the background panel to leave room to pop up the more interesting stuff in the foreground. Most images were only popped up using one or two layers of foam tape.

The entire panel was then adhered to an A2 size top folding portrait style light gray card base. I used Gina K Designs tear tape adhesive to stick it to a piece of craft foam to pop it up as well.

I finished off the card by gluing super small pom-poms to their hats and adding a little shimmer to the candle flame using a Gelly Roll Stardust pen.

The One with the Spellbinders Dancing Hearts Die set

Hello everyone. Today I have a card project using the Spellbinders Dancing Hearts die set. This die set creates a dancing heart complete with moving legs or arms, or arms and legs. It's so fun. My seven year old son created one right along with me. It's very easy to put together.

I have linked the products used on this project below. To find this set and more from Spellbinders (CLICK HERE!)

Background:

I started with a piece of  110 lb. white cardstock cut to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I wanted to create a light gray buffalo check type background to set the stage for my dancing hearts. I used low tack masking tape to mask off 1/2 inch strips. I ink blended the strips with light gray Fog ink using my ink blending tools. I wanted to get a significant amount of this ink onto my paper to make sure it wasn't too light. I wanted it to be light gray, not, non existent gray. I ink blended until I felt there was enough laid down, and then removed the masking tape and shifted it 1/2 inches downward. I did this in both directions creating a buffalo plaid kind of background. To finish the background I cut it down to 3 1/5 by 4 3/4.

Focal image:

The Dancing Hearts die set come with everything you need to create a dancing heart and then some. I wanted to create a heart couple. So I used the largest heart die in the set for my "guy" and the smallest heart shaped die for my "lady". For my guy I used Fun Stampers Journey Blue Lagoon cardstock. I added a little ink blended section with a small amount of Black Soot ink to one side of each of my hearts just to add a little interest to them and help them not be so flat. For the lady I used Fun Stampers Journey Sweet Berry cardstock. I cut the arms, legs, feet and eyes all from Black cardstock. The whites of the eyes and the white gloves were cut from the same white cardstock. I also cut the mechanism provided in the set to make them dance with the same heavy weight white cardstock.

Sentiment:

I cut the "be mine" sentiment that is provided in the Dancing Hearts die set from the same black cardstock four times. I stacked these die cuts together and adhered them with liquid adhesive to create a thick chip board like sentiment.

Assembly:

To put this card together, I first stuck my background panel to an A2 size card base cut and scored in a top folding portrait orientation. I used craft foam and tear tape adhesive to pop it up. I then arranged my Dancing Hearts onto my panel in a way that would allow their legs and arms to swing as freely as possible. I mechanism included with this set is a simple piece that has a hole in the center to fit a round piece of dimensional foam tape. You use a strong adhesive to attach whatever it is that you want to swing on your card to this piece. Once the arms and legs are attached to it, you can place the mechanism around the piece of foam tape and stick it to your card. Once the heart is adhered on top of it. The heart with be stationary but the piece with the arms and legs will be swing from the foam tape but won't move because the heart is keeping it in place on the foam tape.

All of the accessory images were added with liquid adhesive. The Dancing Hearts die set comes with many different accessories for you to add to your hearts to dress them up. I stuck the sentiment below my dancing couple with liquid adhesive.

I hope i've inspired you to create something today. To find more from Spellbinders (CLICK HERE!) and visit their website.

Background:

I started with a piece of Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock. I knew I wanted to create a mint candy inspired card with pink, red and mint. I cut my panel to the same size as the stencils I knew needed to be used first. The Seamless Starburst Circles Layering Stencils come in a set of six, numbered for your convenience. They are marked with corners so that that you can easily align your A2 sized card panel with each stencil. I found it easier to cut the card panel to the same size as the stencil, with plans to cut it down after its fully dry. The stencil measures about 5 by 6 1/4 inches. I used low tack tape to adhere both the stencils and my card panel to my glass mat.

With my card panel and stencil firmly in place I started with stencil number one and used white chalk paint by Folk Art. The chalk white finish created a nice bright white base to start my color combo off with. I used the same white paint for stencil two. I found that the 6 stencils were broken down into two teams of three. The odd number stencils for one part of the completed design and the even numbers for the other. I will be using the same color combo for both sets of stencils creating a design with just one color combo. Although I am choosing to use the same combo for this project, my creative brain is overloaded with with possibilities of this stencil set. For stencils three and four I used Simon Says Stamp Hollyhock Hybrid ink. This was the perfect pink to layer over the white. It held its own while also creating a nice light pink gradient in between.

Before using the next couple stencils, I stopped and put my panel into my original MISTI. I wanted to use a gel paste with the next stencil, so I needed to add my stamped image before adding the dimension of the paste. The Seamless Starburst Circles stamp set coordinates together with the stencils. I easily lined up the large background stamp in the set over my panel concentrating on the center of the circles. Hint- As long as your circles are aligned it should be just fine. The design allows for it not to be stamped perfectly every time. Although, I think I nailed it! I used Altenew Industrial Diamond to stamp the solid lined image. Black was too harsh for the look I was going for. This dark gray did the trick.

Moving onto stencils five and six, I used Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel to make this stunning pop of red. I did however start with using the Gina K Designs Cherry Red as a base to make sure you only saw red. I love how this gel levels out and keeps a uniform structure, and it's so shiny!!

This panel was set aside to dry completely and then cut down to 4 1/4 by 3 1/2.

Pinkfresh Studio, Koren Wiskman, seamless starburst circle stencils, happy birthday sentiments, gina k designs, glitz glitter gel, red, mint, candy, clear sequins, cheers, greeting card, card maker, handmade card, pink, blue, white, gray

Sentiment:

I used the NEW Happy Birthday Sentiments stamp to stamp my sentiment. I stamped the "cheers" onto My Favorite Things Cotton Candy cardstock with Gina K Designs watermark ink. I then heat embossed it using Simon Says Stamp White embossing powder and my Wagner heat tool.

I absolutely love when there are coordinating dies to go with sentiments. I used the Happy Birthday Sentiments die set to cut it out. I love this look and the coordinating dies make it so easy. I popped up my sentiment with foam tape directly onto the finished card panel.

Assembly:

I added my completed card panel to a Simon Says Stamp fog card base cut to size A2 and scored in a top folding portrait orientation. The panel was popped up using a piece of white craft foam cut slightly smaller than the panel itself to conceal it's identity.

To finish off the card I added a few sparkling clear sequins. I also stamped the sentiment "I hope your day sparkles on the inside" also from the Happy Birthday sentiments stamp set. I used the same gray in to stamp it.

I hope that I've inspired you to create something today. Don't forget to check out the rest of the hop. (CLICK HERE!) to visit Pinkfresh Studio.
