The One with the Colorado Craft Company Christmas Blog Hop

ree

Hello everyone.

Today I have some products that were kindly sent to me from Colorado Craft Company to participate in a blog hop. The participants are listed below. I am playing with the NEW Gingerbread Cuties mini stamp set as well as the Snowman Hug Mug stamp set. I created a winter themed holiday card using those products and a few other things from my stash.

Background: 3 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches

For the background, I used a few of my favorite hill dies to create a stencils to inkblend my snowy scene. I used Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink with a Ranger round ink blending tool to paint a few hills behind my focal image. I decided to create an aperture using a scallopped oval die, also from my stash. I then ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss some snow.

Sentiment:

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background panel trying not to stamp on the hills. I'm not sure I love it there, but it's done. It's handmade, right?

Focal Image:

I stamped the critter in a gingerbread man suit from the NEW Gingerbread Cutie mini stamp set onto watercolor paper with ranger Jet Black Ink. I also stamped the chain image from the Snowman Hug Mug and colored them both with Derwent Inktense pencils.

I added a small chain I crafted from red and green paper I have in my curated paper collection. It was tedious but I really think it adds a fun element to the card. I used 3/4 inch by 1 1/2 inch strips and glue dots to create them.

I also added some white texture paste around the "icing" parts of his suit. I put it in a blunt tipped syringe with an 18 gauge tip and I think it looks exactly like it would look if I was using icing. I'm not saying that's a good thing, it's just true.

One huge upside to this bracelet is that it's easy to size on your own. link Just get the right size screwdriver and you can remove a few links from either side of the clasp link without having to visit a watchmaker. This link is one of those little, user-friendly things that too many watch companies ignore. On the other hand, though, there are only three sets of holes for micro-adjustments on the clasp. I'd like to see five. It would cost pennies per bracelet and it adds a lot of comfort to customers.

Bezel and caseback are machined from the same material, and each color – sunray gold, metallic gray link and matte black – galvanically dresses the link graphic landscape formed by the bridges attached to the plate link to match the movement to the case and create a harmonious structure.
