The One with the Heffy Friends Blog Hop

Hello everyone.

Welcome to the Heffy Friends Blog Hop.

Today, I have a card for you using some Heffy Doodle products. I've made another winter themed card, cause I need those... I used the Trim the Tree stamp set and coordinating dies as well as the Lovely Landscapes stamps and stencil.

GIVEAWAY:

Heffy Doodle will be giving away a £25 voucher to the Heffy Doodle Store! Make sure to comment on each stop in the hop by December 22nd to be entered for your chance to win. The winner will be selected randomly and announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on December 23rd!

Background:

I stamped the Lovely Landscape winter trees on a piece of Neenah 110. I used Simon Says Stamp Black ink to stamp them. This stamp set has a coordinating stencil to help you color them, and that's what I did. I took my Ranger stencil brush and some Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness and blended some green ink on to the background trees. I then used the Deckled Paper Hugs to cut out my background panel.

Focal Image:

I used the tree from the Trim the Tree stamp set as the main image on my card. This set has all kinds of fun ornaments and lights you can cut out and add to your tree, but I had something else in mind. I cut our my tree with the coordinating die. Before adding it to the background panel I splattered both the background panel and the tree with white paint to add a bit of snow.

Sentiment:

The sentiment from the Trim the Tree Stamp set was stamped directly onto the background panel prior to adding the snow. I used Ranger Jet Black ink because I feel like it is great for sentiments due to its incredibly crisp results.

Finishing Touches:

I added a few white dots with a white gel pen. I started to go over the sentiment again with a copic multiliner but I liked it better with the snow, so I stopped.

I hope that you enjoyed this project. Thank you for visiting my blog today. Maybe it will inspire you to create something too.
